The Gift.

Remember when I said I'd found the PERFECT gift for my brother's family?  Well, here it is.

For some of you, this may seem like a small thing.  For me, it was HUGE.  I don't delight in making crafts.  I can do them, but the process brings me little pleasure.  I don't know why.  However, I felt gobs of pleasure thinking about how perfect this was for them.  They are a BRIGHT family and every person is so uniquely THEMSELVES.  It was fun to create.  I'm NOT a pattern person.  I followed some guidelines in a Martha Stewart magazine and the rest was up to me.  The personalization of the people.  That was SO fun!

I was so excited to put this baby in the mail.  And, honestly, I was so excited that I started a craft AND FINISHED a craft.  I usually only get to the "started" part and never the "finished."

Beautiful! What a treasure that will be for them. You've got my fingers itching to make one for our family too. Love it!

I love your blog Lynette. You are such a great mom, super-mom in my eyes! I still remember sitting by you at the RS Broadcast dinner and how fun it was to chat with you.

PS. Love your background by the way! ;)

Can I ask you, how do you get your photos to show so big?

Alison, sometimes there's a little link next to the box where you type new posts and it says something about making your blog "better." This is a LAME explanation and completely vague, I know, but that's how I did it. I know if you google it there are tutorials for changing the numbers/pixels in your html. But, yikes, I stink at that stuff. I wish I was better help:(. And, you, my friend are one of the MOST charitable, Christ-like women I know. Completely without guile. THAT'S amazing. How do you it?

Katie, I'm am POSITIVE that you could make one of these that puts mine to shame! You are queen of BRIGHT and FUN and INDIVIDUALITY! Anyone can do it, all it takes is TIME.
