On meandering.

This is how Sam meanders

Life is like a river.  How's that for an original metaphor?  Sometimes it rages out of control.  Sometimes it meanders with steady continuity.

I think I'm meandering.  And I shouldn't complain, except for the fact that I love a little zest, a little gusto to make life interesting (isn't gusto a great word?).  I've tried to stay focused lately on my efforts to develop more self-discipline, and it's been great.  But routine is hard for me, and at the same time, routine is exactly what's feeding my sense of fulfillment at the end of the day.

Basically, I feel like I'm boring.

I'm on mission to discover simple ways to bring a fresh perspective into my life while at the same time staying on track with my daily goals, the "needful" things.  I need to do something crazy every once in a while, but I just can't figure out what kind of "crazy" I'm after.  By crazy, I don't mean inappropriate, just unpredictable.  No running naked through the streets or the like.  Sorry to disappoint.  Hah, who am I kidding?!  Consider it an act of mercy.
