Today . . .

There was a box elder bug on our curtain this morning.  I told Annie to get me some toilet paper so I could get him.  She brought me a gazillion squares and said, "Here, Mommy, I got a whole bunch so you could squish his guts."  His guts were sufficiently squished.  Annie's vocabulary is really blossoming right now.  I am constantly entertained.

We keep fun glass containers full of rocks and shells from vacations on our kitchen counter and magnifying glasses so the kids can take a closer look.  Annie cracked me up today.  It was hilarious to see her attractively distorted features.  Seriously, hilarious.  I often wonder if she'll grow up to be sweet and feminine or goofy and I don't know what.  Only time will tell.

William lost another tooth.  That makes eight, he told me this morning.  I still feel the tooth fairy is way too generous.  Maybe I should be the last one to bed, instead of Ben.

Lincoln is, well, Lincoln.  He educated me about the physics associated with his skirt depending on which direction he jumped or twirled.  Let's just say I'm hoping he's really smart and not just . . . unique.  Kidding.  I would think that skirt was pretty cool if I were a boy, too.

As for me, my legs are sore from lifting weights.  My respite was obviously too long.  I'm training for a snowshoeing 5k with a girlfriend of mine.  Yep, I have pretty cool friends.  In spite of that, I made a delicious dinner.  Something different for each person.  Very fancy.  There's nothing like a bowl or two of Honey Bunches of Oats or Life or Frosted Flakes or Rice Chex or Cinnamon Toast Crunch or Colossal Berry Crunch.  I bet you wish you could eat at our house, hmm?

Okay Lynette. I have to admit. I'm BEYOND anxious/nervous/wanting to back out of that 5k! I've never backed out of something like that, but are you getting scared like I am? There's not even any snow to practice in! Awwww!
