A Picking We Will Go...

Our friends own 5 acres across the road. They have yet to build on the property, but have managed to plant tons of raspberry bushes, as well as a little orchard of various fruits. Saturday morning we ventured over (remember, my husband has OCD with berry picking?) hoping to pick enough berries to make huckleberry-raspberry jam. Doesn't that sound heavenly? We didn't get as much as we would have wanted, but, we got enough. Tonight, Ben made jam while I visited with my brother and his family, visiting from Michigan. Homemade jam puts store-bought to shame, no question! I love my sweet, domestic husband. I love his mother, who taught him so well.

The fruits of our labors.

The long trek over (maybe 100 yards...).

Character...I love how each of them is so different.

I couldn't help but add our little, country haven past yonder berry patch:).

OCD? Love you, Sweetie (he knows I'm kidding).

All in a day's work.

Such a cute post! I love Elder and Sister Carter such good, fun people. I saw your SIL Jen at education week, it was so fun to see her again. I am glad she said something because I kept thinking, "I know that girl from somewhere."

Those berries look divine and I love all your pictures. (I have a sweet, domesticated husband too - isn't it the best!) Wish I could taste the jam!

Yummy! I appreciate Bobby putting the apron on too when he has the time. I don't think my dad even knows how to make a grilled cheese sandwich,(lol!) so that was one thing I LOVED about Bobby when we were dating. How fun to be able to just walk across the street and fill your bowl with goodies from the great earth!
