Some of us eat, some of us cry, some of us get angry, some of us...
Vacuum.
I was a little restless, edgy about our job hunt today. We broadened our search outside the state, having already applied to every engineering firm around and waiting for something to happen. When I start thinking about new places my mind wanders way too much. I start thinking about housing (cute housing), affordability, neighborhoods, cost of living, etc.
Well, the vacuuming helped. Thank goodness for mild OCD's. I'm sure we all have them and I'm glad that my obsession is a form of household cleanliness. Could be worse.
p.s. don't be jealous of my grace and agility...really. All it takes is a little practice. Oh, and putting in an extremely dark hardwood floor that requires daily attention.

i am going to steal your necklace and your shirt. I LOVE dark hard wood floors, are they a pain in the toosh though? seriously, tell me.
And I had no idea you were job hunting! Blah! I wish your family the best of luck. It is hard not knowing where you'll be, what your house could look like, schools, wards, friends, etc.
We are moving to Portland soon you know? And I have LOTS of your same feelings. We are still house hunting and so much is up in the air.
Nice vacuuming skills.
Wish I did that when I was stressed.
I eat. And flip out. And then eat again.
So, Candy...yes, the floors are slightly a pain in the toosh; however, I'm OCD floor-ish, so I don't mind. And, I love them. Love them.
I thought of you today because Ben applied in Beaverton, OR, just north of Tigard. Of course, I checked the housing situation and there's way more in tigard than Bearverton. So...IF we get a job there, we could be neighbors. Are you ready for that? Oh, and I like to eat when I'm stressed, too, however, the picture wouldn't have been as cute with me stuffing my face:).
What kind of engineering? We can put our feelers out here if you like. I honestly can't say enough good things about Colorado - I absolutely love it! Good luck with everything and keep us updated!
Honey, Ben does civil, structural, and geotechnical engineering. Ben always thought it would be cool to live in CO. I, however, was hoping for a beach:). Beggars can't be choosers, right?
Well in my humble opinion I believe that as you are looking everywhere for a job, houseing, cost of living etc... it sounds like a stuper of thought and we all know what that means... you need to keep your little rear end in Burton.
pretend this is in REALLY small lettering you can barly see (we are talking microscopic). If you had to leave me I would understand...might cry, but would understand (remember, microscopic, I really don't want you to know this) :0)
If you run out of floors to vacuum come one over! I'd be happy to help with the stress relief.
Change isn't nearly as hard as the anticipation and wonder that comes beforehand.
You look great--such form!
We love you guys!
Nice skills! Oh and I like your new hair. You're so brave to get bangs. I don't think I would even know how to do bangs since the last time I had them was in the 7th grade when the side poof was popular. :)
ok - that is NOT what i look like when i vacuum. by that, i mean i am usually wearing sweat pants and have my hair in a nasty ponytail. pretty to think about - i know.
also this: i hope you find a job soon. i am sure that is a huge stress. come to canada :) seriously.
Love it. we are too much alike :)
I hear ya on the stress. Sounds like me! Except lately I have been doing projects and cleaning.
I have been so anxious with baby preparations, packing to leave for the summer, house hunting for our move to Logan with grad school in the fall, etc.
You could always come back to your old stompin' ground here in DE-TROIT!!
Good luck, job hunting can be a bit stressful at time.
BTW- love the hair on your little girl!! It gives her character
