This, I know...

This, I know:
I am not the first parent to wonder if sabbaticals are an option.
I have two choices.
I can either laugh or cry.
I'm choosing to laugh, because I'm hormonal right now, and if I choose to cry, I probably won't stop.
It's not as fun to laugh alone, so, will you join me?
Here, I'll help you:

- "Like fruit, children are sweetest before they turn bad." Dena Groquet

- "A child is a curly dimpled lunatic." Ralph Waldo Emerson

- "I like children. Properly cooked." W.C. Fields

- "Children are the most desirable opponents at scrabble as they are both easy to beat and fun to cheat." Fran Lebowitz

Yes, I love my kids.
Yes, bedtime was certainly my favorite time of day today.
Yes, I'm hopeful that tommorow will be better...
maybe a little scrabble with my curly dimpled lunatics...

Lanette,

You are NOT alone. I hate when those days come. I loved the quotes...I am going to copy them for myself. Especially the lunatics one. I am still laughing at that.

Love ya,

Lanette just know that our trials will exalt us if we handle them well. Kids are alot of work, but our they are our greatest blessings! Keep your head up! :)

Those days are hard! I remember talking to my mom on the phone a few years ago. She said "of course you'll always love your kids, you're their mom. But, it makes a huge difference when you can LIKE your kids, too."

I must admit there are days that I don't like my kids - or at least don't like how they've acted or what they've done. Those are tough days. Hang in there!

(And, if you do choose to go on sabbatical, take me with you! Love you, girl!)
