Carpet Is In...

I'm sure these posts aren't the most exciting for other people, but, for memories sake, I want to remember how excited I was today. The carpet installation was our last major change needed for the house. Seeing the house today, it felt real. I could actually see my life there. I could see the kids coming home from school, playing on the floor with their cars and army guys. I could see myself sitting down and reading a book. The realities were so vivid...and it was so exciting for me. My little haven is taking shape.

Being without my own home for almost 18 months was a long time. Not that it wasn't a tremendous blessing living with Mom and Dad...that part was necessary, we needed to live life like this for both families. We needed eachother, them, for all of their health issues, and us, to have time (and a roof over our heads) while we decided where to live. The Lord was very aware of the needs of both families and orchestrated things perfectly (are we not surprised?). My heart is full. Oh, and the fact that today was sunny made a tremendous difference. Nothing like sunshine and a slight taste of Spring to cheer the heart.

Hi Lanette! I found your blog! That is so exciting that your house is coming together and that you'll be able to be in your own place soon. I'm envious because the prospect of a house isn't even in our near future. We'll miss you guys, but you won't be too far away. We'll have to do things to keep in touch.

It looks great! What is the tan color you used on the walls upstairs in that loft area? I'm trying to figure out a color to paint our living room and I like the way that one looks.
